Why Finly?
Most online tools require you to create an account, hand over your email address, and trust that your data won't be sold to advertisers. Finly is different. Every tool runs entirely in your browser using client-side encryption and peer-to-peer connections. Your messages, files, notes, and data never pass through our servers.
How Our Privacy Tools Work
Our privacy tools use AES-256-GCM encryption — the same standard used by banks and governments — combined with WebRTC peer-to-peer connections that route directly between users. Even when relay servers are needed to cross firewalls or mobile networks, the data remains encrypted end-to-end. We cannot read your messages even if we wanted to.
GhostChat — Encrypted Chat Rooms
Create a private chat room in seconds. Share the room code with anyone, anywhere in the world. Messages are encrypted before they leave your device and decrypted only on the recipient's device. Includes video calling, image sharing, message reactions, and real-time typing indicators.
SecretNote — Self-Destructing Notes
Need to share a password, API key, or sensitive information? SecretNote encrypts your message and generates a one-time link. The recipient opens the link, reads the note, and it self-destructs. Nothing is stored on any server — the entire encrypted message lives inside the URL itself.
FileDrop — P2P File Transfer
Send files directly from your device to another person's device, anywhere in the world. No file size limits, no cloud storage, no waiting for uploads. Files stream in real-time through an encrypted peer-to-peer tunnel. Perfect for sharing large videos, design files, or sensitive documents.
BlindBox — Anonymous Feedback
Create a room where people can submit anonymous feedback, questions, or confessions. Perfect for team retrospectives, classroom Q&A, event feedback, or gathering honest opinions. No accounts, no tracking — participants are completely anonymous.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are all Finly tools free?
Yes, every tool on Finly is completely free. There are no premium tiers, no trial periods, and no hidden costs. We believe privacy tools should be accessible to everyone.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Every tool works instantly without any signup, login, or email address. Just open the tool and start using it.
Is my data really private?
Yes. Finly uses end-to-end encryption (AES-256-GCM) and peer-to-peer connections powered by WebRTC. Your data is encrypted on your device before it leaves, and only the intended recipient can decrypt it. We have zero access to your messages, files, or notes.
Can I use these tools across different countries?
Absolutely. Our tools use STUN and TURN relay servers to establish connections across any network — different countries, mobile data, corporate firewalls, and more. The connection is always end-to-end encrypted regardless of how it's routed.
What happens to my data after I close the browser?
It's gone. Since everything runs in your browser and nothing is stored on our servers, closing the tab means your data ceases to exist. Chat messages, transferred files, and secret notes are all ephemeral by design.
